Regarding the matter you raised to me about the places to visit in Singapore, I have done some research and the place that I will be recomending you is the Fullerton Hotel.

Question:What advice would you give a family living with teenagers
Over the years,I've saw countless of people enters and leave me, only to see them back again after a few months,for a even longer stay.I've saw people who enters and leaves me so many times that,each visit is nothing different from a chalet.But I,am after all,not a chalet.I,am a Boys Home.
As I looked back over the past years,when i was newly founded and only have a population of 2,till now,20 years later,with a population of 50. Looking at the increase of my population filled my heart with sadness.What are the teenagers in the world coming to?Why can't they be like those before them,who are capable of differentiating from right and wrong.I pondered over these questions for a long time,before one day i finally realised what the teenagers really wants.
Men have always wondered what is it that women really wants.But never ever have parents wondered what their children really wants.Communication is a two way road.Both sides must always be talking at listening at the same time,only then will one really understand what his conversational partner really wants.If the law of Communication is broken,the part that is always listening will feel unwanted.Sadly,this is the case between parents and their children,especially teenagers.Parents will constantly bombard their children with their demands,like good grades,and the child can never get his or her point of view to his or her parent.Thus,in cases like teenagers,where they believe that they have the ability to differentiate between right and wrong,if their point of views is not conveyed to his or her parents,the teenager will feel unwanted and started to be rebellious.
Teenagers are no longer children anymore.It is nearly impossible to tame a rebellious tiger with a whip.The same things happens between parents and teenagers.Whenever parents feel that their child is going out of hand,the most immediate thing is to correct his or her ways by the cane.For children,it will most likely work.But for teenagers,the more you try to control him or her,the more rebellious he or she becomes.In order to show their parents that they are not happy with the way he is being treated,one will start to be rebellious,trying to get his parents' attention and make them understand what he really wants.The worse way to deal with a rebellious child is the cane.The more you hit or scold him,the hatred in his heart will stack up,resulting him in a even more rebellious situation.
In order to understand your child's behaviour,the first thing that you must conquer is his thoughts.You must be able to understand what all his actions are for,and what does he wants and how does he feels deep in his heart.Only after achieving all these,you can remove the boulder that is in between you and your child,thus closing the gaps between both of you.
What are some of the things that might be on your child's mind?The wanted of teenagers are actually very simple,which usually includes more freedom and trust of their parents.All of this are actually very simple things which parents,give their child stingily.
How,as parents,able to understand their child's thoughts and have a heart to heart talk with them?In order to understand their thoughts,one must first be able to link the actions of his child,the behavior of his child to himself.After all,everyone had or will be the teenager some day.The same kind of thoughts will definitely appear in your mind.Thinking from this angle,one can then reflect on his actions,linking to the teenage time of his,to see if he is making the same mistake as his parents.
Another way is to arrange for a good friend of his,to talk to him.After all,it is alot more difficult to speak what you really feel to you parents than your peers.This way,parents will be able to hear what his or her child feels about him.
In order not to have much conflicts between parents and the child,mutual respect is the key.Parents should acknowledge that his or her child already have the ability to differentiate between right and wrong,and not to force him to do things all the time.When you ask your child to do something,or tell him not to do something,tell him the logic behind the reason of that action.This way,the child will then be able to understand the different reasons of the actions of their parents and not feel that whatever his parents says is right and everything that he says is wrong.Parents should also allow some personal spaces for his child and not control him like a puppet.
After all that I have said,I hope that better communication can be achieved between the parents and children and that the population in me will decrease over time.
